Het Braunschweigse Landesmuseum is een historisch museum in de stad Braunschweig en het enige geschiedmuseum in de eigendom van de deelstaat Nedersaksen. Het Landesmuseum heeft vier locaties: het Vieweg-Haus op de Burgplatz en Hinter Ägidien in Braunschweig, de Kanzlei in Wolfenbüttel en het boerderij museum in Bortfeld.
Het BLM werd op 11 oktober 1891 opgericht als stedelijk Vaderlandse Museum voor Braunschweigse Landesgeschiedenis; het museumgebouw bevond zich toen in de straat Hagenscharrn. De basis vormde een omvangrijke collectie van tentoonstellingsobjecten, die ter gelegenheid van een herdenkings tentoonstelling voor de "Zwarte Hertog", Friedrich Wilhelm van Braunschweig-Lüneburg, in 1890 waren verzameld.
