Landkreis Schaumburg is een Landkreis in de Duitse deelstaat Nedersaksen. De Landkreis telt 158.406 inwoners op een oppervlakte van 675,68 km². Kreisstadt is Stadthagen,
Schaumburg werd in het kader van de herindeling van de Landkreisen op 1 augustus 1977 opgericht uit twee opgeheven Landkreisen: Schaumburg-Lippe en Grafschaft Schaumburg, waarbij de stad Hessisch Oldendorf werd ingedeeld bij het landkreis Hamelen-Pyrmont. Hierdoor ontstond weer enigszins het historische gebied Schaumburg. Dit gebied werd in 1647 gedeeld door de landgraven van Hessen-Kassel en de graven van Lippe.
