De bron van de Ruhr in het Rothaargebergte is de bron van de Ruhr, een 219,3 km lange rechterzijrivier van de Rijn in het district Hochsauerlandkreis, Noordrijn-Westfalen.
De bron van de Ruhr ligt in het noordoosten van het Rothaargebergte in het Hochsauerland. Het ligt in het natuurpark Sauerland-Rothaargebirge, ongeveer 3 km ten noordoosten van de kern van Winterberg op de noordoostelijke helling van 695,7 m boven zeeniveau. NHN hoge Ruhrkopf op 674 m hoogte. De dorpen die het dichtst bij de bron liggen, die beide tot Winterberg behoren, zijn Grönebach, 1,8 km naar het noorden, en Elkeringhausen, 1,5 km naar het zuidoosten.
