De Neurather See, soms ook wel Martinssee genoemd, is een restmeer van de bruinkoolwinning ten noordwesten van het huidige Neurath, dat behoort tot Grevenbroich.
Het meer is ontstaan uit het restgat van de bruinkoolwinning Neurath-Nord. Hier, in het mijnveld "Neurath 3", voorheen "Prinzessin Victoria", werd van 1960 tot 1985 bruinkool gewonnen. De dagbouw werd geopend door de Martinswerk GmbH voor chemische en metallurgische productie uit Quadrath-Ichendorf, waardoor het meer ook wel Martinssee wordt genoemd. De exploitatie werd in opdracht van het Martinswerk uitgevoerd door een consortium onder leiding van de Strabag Bau-AG. Voor de winning in de open pit werden grijpers ingezet, het storten van de afvalstoffen gebeurde via bandinstallaties en afvoerbanden. De kool werd per vrachtwagen naar het Martinswerk vervoerd, waar het werd gebruikt voor de opwekking van stroom en processtoom voor de productie van huttenklei.
