De bovenste begraafkapel is een van de twee kapellen op de bosbegraafplaats in Düsseldorf-Gerresheim en werd tussen 1963 en 1965 gebouwd volgens de plannen van de architecten Hans Junghanns en Gerhard Nitschke voor de stad Düsseldorf.
De sacraalruimte is op een ronde plattegrond als een conische schacht gebouwd. Het kapeldak is bedekt met koper; het plafond en de muur zijn naar binnen hellend; daglicht valt alleen door een smalle lichtband naar binnen. Het ronde gebouw steekt boven de lage entreehal en bedrijfsruimten uit, die door een ver uitstulpend dakplaten worden samengevoegd.
