Het zonnepark Krughütte, nabij de stad Eisleben, strekt zich uit over een gebied van ongeveer 100 hectare. Met een piekvermogen van 29,1 MW kunnen gemiddeld circa 7500 huishoudens van vier personen van elektrische energie worden voorzien. Het zonnepark bij de voormalige Krughütte, later Karl-Liebknecht-Hütte, is in samenwerking tussen de bedrijven Parabel AG en SRU Solar AG gebouwd. De bouw van de openluchtinstallatie werd, naast het hoogteverschil van 80 m tot 100 m, bemoeilijkt door harde, broze slakken in de ondergrond.
Op het zonnepanelenveld zijn meer dan 121.000 fotovoltaïsche modules geplaatst. Voor de omzetting van gelijkstroom in wisselstroom zorgen ongeveer 1400 decentrale zonnestroomomvormers.
