De hoofdbegraafplaats in Karlsruhe is een van de oudste landschapsbegraafplaatsen van Duitsland. Het werd in 1873 geopend in Karlsruhe volgens plannen van Josef Durm in de wijk Oststadt in het oosten van de stad. Tegenwoordig strekt het zich uit over 34 hectare met 32.000 begrafenissen.
Gebogen paden beplant met platanen in plaats van rechte paden markeren het nieuwe ontwerp van aangelegde begraafplaatsen. Terwijl de hoofdstraten zijn omzoomd met representatieve monumenten, liggen de eenvoudigere graven verborgen achter heggen. Op de esplanade waar het oude crematorium zich bevond, staat tegenwoordig een grafkapel, omgeven door een klein hek.
