Het Westwallmuseum Irrel ligt dichter bij de Duits-Luxemburgse grens in de Eifel. Het is gevestigd in een bunker van de voormalige Westwall, de Panzerwerk Katzenkopf, die van 1937 tot 1939 werd gebouwd. De bunker met het museum ligt op het gebied van de gemeente Irrel en is sinds 1979 toegankelijk voor bezichtigingen. Samen met andere panzerwerken werd het "Panzerwerk Katzenkopf" gebouwd om de hoofdverbindingsweg Keulen–Luxemburg te beveiligen. Het is het noordelijkst gelegen panzerwerk van de Westwall.
