Het station Riegel-Malterdingen is een klein aansluitstation in het noordelijke district Emmendingen op het grondgebied van Malterdingen, direct aan de gemeentelijke grens met Riegel am Kaiserstuhl. Het werd geopend op 1 augustus 1845 met het spoortraject van Offenburg naar Freiburg van de Rheintalbahn. Sinds 1894 vertakt hier de Kaiserstuhlbahn van de toenmalige Zuid-Duitse Spoorwegmaatschappij naar Endingen, waarvan in Riegel Ort een tak aan de oostzijde van de Kaiserstuhl naar Gottenheim loopt, terwijl de andere sinds 1895 van Endingen naar het westen van het gebergte naar Breisach leidt.
