Starnberg is een Duitse stad in Beieren. De stad is de hoofdstad van de Landkreis Starnberg en is tevens de enige stad in deze Landkreis. De oppervlakte bedraagt 61,77 km² en Starnberg telt 23.498 inwoners.
Starnberg werd in 1226 voor het eerst genoemd en heette destijds Aheim am Würmsee.
Het Amerikaanse IT-bedrijf Symantec heeft hier een vestiging, maar de stad is voornamelijk bekend als toeristencentrum. Starnberg heeft een stedenband met Dinard.
