Het land Lippe was een land in het noordwesten van Duitsland. Het volgde in de Britse zone het voormalige Vrijstaat Lippe op en bestond tot de opname in het land Noordrijn-Westfalen op 21 januari 1947.
Lippe werd in april 1945 door Amerikaanse troepen bezet en werd bij de verdeling van Duitsland toegewezen aan de Britse administratieve zone. De Britse militaire regering benoemde Heinrich Drake tot lands president, de laatste democratische lippische lands president tot 1933. Tegelijkertijd stond hij aan het hoofd van Schaumburg-Lippe. Een volledige soevereiniteit genoot Lippe echter niet gezien de Britse bezetting en het geldende bezettingsrecht. Zowel de Landdag als de lands president werden door de militaire regering benoemd en moesten gedwongen de ontbinding van het land accepteren.
