De Altenberger Pinge is een door mijnbouw op tinsteen ontstane pinge in Altenberg in het Ertsgebergte. De belangrijkste instorting vond plaats in 1620. Zelfs aan het begin van de 19e eeuw besloeg de pinge slechts een oppervlakte van ongeveer 2,5 hectare. Vooral vanaf ongeveer 1976 werd deze door intensieve ertsmijnbouw aanzienlijk vergroot. Tegenwoordig heeft ze een gemiddelde diameter van 400 m, een diepte van ongeveer 130 m en een oppervlakte van ongeveer 12 hectare.
De pinge en enkele bijbehorende mijnbouwinstallaties maken deel uit van het UNESCO-Werelderfgoed Montanregio Ertsgebergte. Ze werd in 2006 uitgeroepen tot een van de 77 belangrijkste nationale geotopen.
