De Verbandsgemeente Daun is een bestuursorgaan in de rechtsvorm van een territoriale lichaam in de Landkreis Vulkaneifel in Rijnland-Palts. Tot de Verbandsgemeente behoren de stad Daun en 37 zelfstandige dorpsgemeenten, het bestuurscentrum is in de naamgevende stad Daun.
De Verbandsgemeente Daun is ontstaan in het kader van de in de tweede helft van de jaren zestig en het begin van de jaren zeventig uitgevoerde Rijnland-Palts functionele en gebiedshervorming uit het sinds 1927 bestaande Amt Daun. Op 1 oktober 1968 werden in verband met de Verbandsgemeenten op basis van de “Landesgesetz zur Änderung kommunalverfassungsrechtlicher Vorschriften und zur Vorbereitung der Neugliederung von Gemeinden” van 16 juli 1968 aanvankelijk alle 132 ambten in de regeringsdistricten Koblenz en Trier, waaronder het Amt Daun, omgevormd tot Verbandsgemeenten.
