De sluiskolk Fürstenberg bevindt zich bij kilometer 60,70 van de Boven-Havel-waterweg in Fürstenberg/Havel in de Landkreis Oberhavel. Het ligt in de verbinding tussen het Röblinsee en het Baalensee, ten oosten van de brug van de federale weg 96.
Bij een onderzoek in 2004 werden aanzienlijke bouwgebreken aan de gehele sluis vastgesteld. In 2009 werd het bouwcontract voor een nieuwbouwproject gegund, dat tussen september 2009 en juni 2010 werd uitgevoerd. De bouwkosten bedroegen ongeveer 7 miljoen euro en werden gedragen door de Waterwegen- en Scheepvaartadministratie van de federale overheid.
