Lütterhausen ligt in het Bergisch Land tussen Eitorf in het Siegtal en Schönenberg in het Bröltal aan een naar het noorden/oosten gerichte talud van de Rieferather Bäche, ingebed in een landschapbeschermingsgebied. In de directe nabijheid loopt de historische Nutscheidstraße, die over de heuvelrug van de Nutscheid loopt, voorbij, in de volksmond "Romeinseweg" of ook "ahl Stroße" genoemd.
