Huis Asbeck (voormalige woning van de heren van Asbeck) met zijn gracht en ooit indrukwekkende wallen, behoorde oorspronkelijk tot het Stift St. Mauritz in Münster. De hofplaats wordt al in 1151 genoemd.
In de 19e eeuw raakte het huis in verval en werd het complex, met uitzondering van een dienstgebouw, gesloopt. Van de indrukwekkende burcht bleef zo alleen een voormalig dienstgebouw dat is omgebouwd tot woonhuis en delen van de gracht en de wallen over.
