Dit indrukwekkend monument ter nagedachtenis aan de gedeporteerde Sinti en Roma tijdens het nationaalsocialistische regime, ontworpen door kunstenaar Clas Steinmann, werd op 10 september 2012 onthuld.
Het monument bestaat uit zes bronzen steles met een turquoise patina, die in een rechte lijn zijn opgesteld met telkens één meter tussenruimte. Deze opstelling nodigt bezoekers uit om tussen de steles door te lopen, wat een moment van bezinning en reflectie creëert.
Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog werden talloze Sinti en Roma uit Trier en omgeving via een verzamelkamp in Keulen gedeporteerd naar ghettos en concentratiekampen in Oost-Europa. Het monument herdenkt deze slachtoffers en dient als blijvende herinnering aan de gruweldaden begaan onder het nationaalsocialistische regime
