Donau-Ries is een klein Landskreis gelegen in het zuiden van Duitsland. De Romantische Strasse (een toeristische route langsheen prachtige natuur, historische steden en idyllische dorpjes) loopt voor een groot deel doorheen deze regio en die wordt gedurende de route ook deels gevolgd. Starten en eindigen gebeurt aan het station van het schone Nördlingen.
