Bentomiz Kasteel is een oude Moorse vesting gebouwd op een heuvel nabij het dorp Arenas in de provincie Málaga. Het ligt op een hoogte van 711 meter en ligt ten noordoosten van Vélez-Málaga. Men denkt dat de kasteelplaats bezet is geweest door de Feniciërs, Grieken en Romeinen, hoewel het niet duidelijk is welke delen van de ruïnes uit welke periode dateren. Romeinse baden zijn daar gevonden. De Berbers bouwden verder op de bestaande structuur. De vesting, toen Munt Mās genoemd, werd genoemd in de memoires van Abdallah ibn Buluggin, heerser van de Taifa van Granada in de elfde eeuw. Hij beschreef het als een formidabele burcht. De vesting gaf zich over aan hem tijdens een burgeroorlog die hij met zijn broer Tamim voerde.
