València is een stad, de hoofdstad van de Valenciaanse Gemeenschap en van de gelijknamige provincie. Het staat ook traditioneel bekend als Cap en Casal, de Stad van de Duizend Torens en de hoofdstad van de Túria, vanwege het feit dat het aan de oever van deze rivier ligt. Het is de derde gemeente qua bevolking in Spanje, met 789.744 inwoners, terwijl het metropolitane gebied volgens dezelfde bron 1.541.047 inwoners telt, wat het ook de derde metropolitane gebied van Spanje maakt.
