Description by the author

De wandeling start in San Bartolomé de Tirajana op de flank van de Pico de las Nieves.

Ze gaat door de met palmen beboste vallei 'Barance de Tirajana' naar Santa Lucia waar voldoende horeca aanwezig is. Door hier een middagstop te voorzien kan deze wandeling als een prachtige dagtrip worden aangewend. Zo biedt restaurant Mirador de Santa Lucia een prachtig vergezicht vanuit het restaurant over de vallei.

Santa Lucia zelf is een gezellig bergdorpje. Onderschat de hoogteverschillen niet: San Bartolomé ligt op 900m hoogte; het diepste punt van de wandeling ligt op 615m en Santa Lucia zelf ligt op 700m hoogte.

Niettegenstaande dit een heen en terug- wandeling is langs bijna volledig dezelfde route zijn de uitzichten toch volledig anders.
