Het Kajaani-kasteel werd in de 17e eeuw gebouwd op het Ämmäkoski-eiland van de Kajaani-rivier in het centrum van Kajaani, Finland. Vandaag de dag blijven er alleen nog roemloze ruïnes van het kasteel over.
Het kasteel fungeerde als administratief centrum, gevangenis en militaire sterkter. De beroemdste gevangene was de historicus Johannes Messenius, die gedwongen werd om van 1616 tot 1635 onder de arme omstandigheden van het kasteel te leven.
