We verlaten Carpentras langs het oosten, langs de Porte de Mazan. Eens op de Avenue du Mont Ventoux draaien we meteen rechtsaf en dan meteen links op de Chemin de la Lègue. Wat verder kruisen we het Canal de Carpentras.
Meteen zijn we weer buiten de stad. We rijden nu weer voorbij de wijngaarden. Links in de verte ligt de Mont Ventoux.
Op het einde komen we op de D4, de hoofdweg van Carpentras naar Venasque en Apt. We volgen deze weg voor 200 meter en slaan dan rechtsaf op een grindweg. Na 100 meter passeren we een boerderij en wat verder aan serres en fruitbomen maakt de weg een flauwe bocht naar rechts.
Op de hoofdweg rijden we naar links en kruisen we de rotonde. 250 voorbij serres slaan we rechtsaf weer een grindweg op. We passeren wat boerderijen en op het einde van deze weg zijn we bijna weer aan de vakantiewoning die nu schuin rechts van ons staat.
