Op een hoogte van ongeveer 720 meter tussen beboste hellingen ligt het plaatsje Ax Les Thermes. Bij dit plaatsje komen de rivieren Lauze en Oriege samen. Bij de Romeinen was Ax Les Thermes al bekend als badplaats. Tegenwoordig zijn nog steeds zestig verschillende warme bronnen te vinden, waarvan sommigen met temperaturen tot boven de 75 graden. In de omgeving is veel te doen en is het een prima gebied voor de sportieve vakantieganger om prachtige bergwandelingen te maken.
