Fotograaf Sébastien Van Malleghem werd uitgenodigd door het plaatselijke fotografiefestival l'Oeil Urbain om een jaar lang het harde leven in Corbeil-Essonnes vast te leggen. Enkele aspecten die aangeven hoe driest de situatie is in deze voorstad:
Het aantal aanvragen voor sociale huisvesting is er vijftig keer groter dan het aanbod en de wachttijd bedraagt zes jaar.
Het noodnummer 115 is altijd, echt altijd bezet.
