Valentigney is een gemeente in het Franse departement Doubs . De gemeente telde 11.272 inwoners op 1 januari 2019. De plaats maakt deel uit van het arrondissement Montbéliard. Hier was een van de eerste fabrieken van Peugeot gevestigd.
De plaats werd voor het eerst vermeld in 1135. In de 13e eeuw hing de plaats af van de heerlijkheid Bélieu en vanaf 1424 van het graafschap Montbéliard. Zoals in andere plaatsen in het land van Montbéliard kreeg het protestantisme er vaste voet in de eerste helft van de 16e eeuw. In 1540 kwam er een protestantse gemeente en in 1574 een openbare school verbonden aan de protestantse kerk. In 1588 werd het dorp geplunderd en ook tijdens de Dertigjarige Oorlog had Valentigney te lijden onder oorlogsgeweld.
