Hayange is een gemeente in het Franse departement Moselle . De plaats maakte tot 1 januari 2015 deel uit van het arrondissement Thionville-West. De gemeente telde 16.005 inwoners op 1 januari 2019.Al in de Romeinse tijd werd er ijzererts gewonnen in Hayange. Dit bleef zo in de Middeleeuwen en in 1323 werd een eerste ijzersmederij geopend. Onder invloed van familie de Wendel werd Hayange van 1706 tot 2011 het centrum van de Lotharingse ijzer- en staalindustrie. Zij industrialiseerden het proces en introduceerden het gebruik van cokes en nieuwe Britse technieken.
