De Place Charles de Gaulle, of voorheen Place de l'Étoile, is het plein in Parijs, waar de Arc de Triomphe staat. Het plein is genoemd naar president Charles de Gaulle. Tot 13 november 1970 was de naam van dit plein Place de l'Étoile. Het is een van de drukste pleinen in Parijs.De oorspronkelijke naam van het plein was Butte Chaillot. Het was het einde van de in 1670 aangelegde Champs-Élysées. De Marquis de Marigny liet er in 1777 een plein met zijwegen van maken, in dezelfde tijd dat hij langs de Champs Élysées bomen liet planten. Door de vorm van het plein kreeg het de naam Place de l'Étoile. .
