In de stad Gouy, 20 km van Saint-Quentin, bieden de bronnen wandelaars en hikers een landschap van bossen en vlaktes. Deze grote Europese rivier ontspringt uit een bakstenen bassin, op de bodem van een schaduwrijke vallei. De locatie wordt verfraaid door een standbeeld dat een dolfijn afbeeldt. Dit geschenk, aangeboden door de stad Antwerpen, bedankt de rivier voor de welvaart die ze deze stad heeft gebracht.
