La Clayette is een gemeente van het Franse departement Saône-et-Loire en van de regio Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, niet ver van Charolles , Paray-le-Monial , Cluny , Mâcon and Lyon . In de plaats bevindt zich een enorm kasteel en een lokale industrie. De wereldberoemde kranen bouwer Potain in verliet la Clayette in 2013 hetgeen een klap voor de locale economie betekende. Recent is de gemeente La Clayette opgegaan in de Communauté des Communes La Clayette Chauffailles en Brionnais.
