Chambéry (Savoyaards: Chambèri) is een stad en gemeente in de Franse Alpen. Het is de hoofdstad van het departement Savoie. In 1999 woonden er 55.786 mensen. Chambéry is een van de plaatsen waar de Université de Savoie is gevestigd.
De stad bestond al in de Romeinse tijd. Tussen 1232 en 1562 was Chambéry de hoofdstad van het land Savoye. Tussen 1792 en 1815, toen Savoye bij Frankrijk hoorde, was Chambéry de hoofdstad van het departement Mont-Blanc. In 1860 kwam Savoye definitief bij Frankrijk, nadat het in de tussenliggende jaren bij Sardinië hoorde.
Tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog werd de stad deels verwoest.
