Viollet-le-Duc, de beroemde architect, ondernam de restauratie van het kasteel van Pierrefonds op verzoek van Napoleon III. Het 14e-eeuwse kasteel lag in puin. Na bijna dertig jaar werk is het kasteel in zijn oude luister hersteld, met een ophaalbrug, acht imposante verdedigingstorens, een donjon... Er wacht je een magisch bezoek in het hart van de Middeleeuwen en je duikt onder in de fascinerende wereld van de ridders!
