Het Europees Hof voor de Rechten van de Mens is een Europees gerechtshof waar individuen, groepen, organisaties en landen een klacht kunnen indienen tegen elk van de 47 lidstaten van de Raad van Europa. Het betreft klachten over schending van het Europees Verdrag voor de rechten van de mensen en de fundamentele vrijheden . Het hof is gevestigd in Straatsburg. Binnen de context van Europees recht wordt vaak in informele teksten met deze plaatsnaam naar dit hof verwezen, ook in samenstellingen als Straatsburgse rechters, Straatsburgse jurisprudentie, enz.
