Het Musée du Luxembourg, het eerste museum dat in 1750 in Frankrijk werd geopend, presenteert twee jaarlijkse tentoonstellingen die worden georganiseerd door het Rmn-Grand Palais. Het belicht de Renaissance, de banden tussen kunst en macht en de rol van Parijs als hoofdstad van de kunsten. Dit Senaatsmuseum ligt in de buurt van het Palais en de Jardin du Luxembourg, in een uitzonderlijke omgeving in het hart van het Quartier Latin, met ruimtes die opnieuw zijn ontworpen door de architect Shigeru Ban, waaronder het Angelina restaurant/theezaal en educatieve workshops.
