De 119e editie van het Franse grandslamtoernooi Roland Garros 2020 werd gehouden van zondag 27 september tot en met zondag 11 oktober 2020. Voor de vrouwen was het de 113e editie. Het toernooi werd gespeeld in het Roland-Garrosstadion in het 16e arrondissement van Parijs.De editie van 2020 was het eerste jaar waarin het nieuwe, verschuifbare dak van Court Philippe-Chatrier in gebruik werd genomen. De nieuwe dakconstructie was eind 2019 afgerond. Daarnaast was dit het eerste jaar waarin twaalf tennisbanen verlichting hadden gekregen, waardoor de wedstrijden niet meer gestaakt hoefden te worden door de invallende duisternis.
