De Slag vond plaats op 12 februari 1814 bij Château-Thierry aan de Marne in Frankrijk. Deze werd uitgevochten tussen een Franse leger onder het commando van Napoleon en een contingent van het Silezische leger bestaande uit een Russisch korps onder generaal von der Osten-Sacken en een Pruisisch korps onder generaal Yorck. Het resultaat was het terugtrekken van de coalitietroepen over de Marne tot Reims. De coalitietroepen leden zware verliezen, de Napoleonische troepen slechts geringe.
