Net ten noorden van Bordeaux ligt het Plage du Lac, een recreatiegebied voor het hele gezin, met fijn zand, zwemmen onder toezicht, spelletjes voor kinderen en picknicktafels onder de pijnbomen. Het is bereikbaar met de tram en de ideale plek voor het hele gezin om te ontspannen bij mooi weer.
Tijdens de zomervakantie organiseren de animatoren van de stad allerlei leuke activiteiten, waardoor het Plage du Lac een populaire plek is voor de plaatselijke bewoners.
Je kunt ook wandelen langs de oevers van dit uitgestrekte meer, te voet of op de fiets over de fietspaden.
