Roze, blauw, geel, maar wat is dit vreemde gebouw dat 's nachts regenboogtinten aanneemt?
De Sarrelouispoort is een van de overblijfselen die nog zichtbaar zijn van de versterkte gordel die Thionville in de 18e eeuw beschermde. Vandaag biedt het een verbazingwekkend uitzicht op de ingang van de stad. Esthetisch gezien is het niet echt zo. Haar missie is vooral militair. Sierlijsten op de frontons en kroonlijsten zijn de enige versieringen die het zich veroorlooft. Tijdens de annexatie hebben de Duitsers het veroordeeld, het onderste gedeelte opgevuld en er een bunker van gemaakt.
