Het 13e-eeuwse klooster van de Récollets, opmerkelijk om zijn elegantie en eenvoud, is een oase van rust in het hart van de stad. In 1972 richtte Jean-Marie Pelt het Institut Européen d'Ecologie op, dat hier nog steeds gevestigd is.
Vandaag de dag is Les Récollets de thuisbasis van een aantal verenigingen en instellingen die samenwerken op het gebied van duurzame ontwikkeling, de strijd tegen klimaatverandering en de overgang naar energie, ecologie en solidariteit. Ook het Gemeentearchief is op deze plek gevestigd.
