De kwartsietrotsen in de gemeente Sierck-les-Bains liggen verspreid over 10 hectare in het dal van de Montenach tussen de molen van Sulzen en de kapel van Marienfloss. Het geologisch belang van de Taunuskwartsieten ligt in de zeer hoge ouderdom van deze geologische formatie van eruptieve gesteenten uit het Devoon (primaire tijdperk). De aanwezigheid van een kiezelhoudende rots in een kalksteengebied maakt het mogelijk dat zeldzame acidofiele planten gedijen. Een ontdekkingspad loopt door de site. Vier educatieve panelen geven inzicht in de doorkruiste omgevingen.
