Aan de rand van Biarritz ligt het strand van Ilbarritz ten noorden van Bidart, onder het kasteel van Ilbarritz.
Met iets meer dan 300 m zand kunt u genieten van dit strand dat tijdens het zomerseizoen, van half juni tot eind oktober, onder toezicht staat. Sportievelingen kunnen ook golfen op een prachtig parcours dat het strand omringt en uitkijkt.
Het strand is uitgerust met toiletten en douches en twee restaurants.
Honden zijn tijdens de bewakingsperiode niet toegestaan.
De hellende toegang is geschikt voor mensen met beperkte mobiliteit.
U kunt er met de fiets komen via de Vélodyssée of met de bus vanaf de halte Ilbarritz.
Er zijn twee parkeerplaatsen (betalend van 15 juni tot 15 september). De eerste op de Avenue d'Ilbarritz maakt het ook mogelijk het strand van Milady in Biarritz te bereiken en de tweede is op de Avenue du Lac.
