In het uiterste noorden van de Dordogne is het museum Pierre Bourrinet gevestigd in een zaal die is ingericht in het voormalige gemeentehuis van Teyjat. De prehistorische sites van Teyjat - de grot van het stadhuis en de schuilplaats van Mège - hebben inderdaad uitzonderlijke voorwerpen opgeleverd die dateren van 10.000 tot 3000 jaar geleden. Aangezien deze sites niet toegankelijk zijn voor bezoekers, presenteert het Museum Pierre Bourrinet een tentoonstelling over het leven van de jagers-verzamelaars aan het einde van het neolithicum in relatie tot de Magdalenische gravures en de verschillende voorwerpen (gereedschap, meubilair en sieraden) die er zijn gevonden.
