Via de Renaissance tuinen van het kasteel komt u bij de Munttoren
Tot de Revolutie werden hier munten geslagen in de beeltenis van de koning van Frankrijk. Deze munten droegen de Béarnse vaquetas ("koeien") op de achterkant.
De Place de la Monnaie, die "Camp Batailhé" werd genoemd, was het toneel van duels en godsspraken en werd de zetel van ambachtelijke fabrieken.
