Twee reconstructies dompelen ons onder in de geschiedenis van de plattelandsscholen: een lokaal van het type "Guizot", minister van Onderwijs die in 1833 een wet tot organisatie van het lager onderwijs aannam; het lokaal van het type "Jules Ferry", minister van 1879 tot 1883 en initiatiefnemer van het vrije, seculiere en verplichte onderwijs, dat de basis legde voor de traditionele school die het grootste deel van de 19e eeuw standhield
Men kan er het karakteristieke meubilair van elke periode ontdekken, zeldzame boeken waaronder een geografie van 1839 waarin het zuidoostelijke deel van Afrika slechts wordt vermeld met "onbekend land"! of deze beroemde tekenen tegen alcoholisme beschreven door Pagnol.
