Het is een van de mooiste en grootste vijvers in de Brenne (100 ha), maar ook de enige die is uitgerust voor recreatieve activiteiten. Het combineert recreatiemogelijkheden voor het hele gezin met een beschermd natuurgebied. De hoofdvijver heeft een strand (zwemmen zonder toezicht), evenals kinderspeelplaatsen, picknicktafels en een schaduwrijke minigolfbaan. Het is mogelijk om kajak-fun, waterfietsen en peddels te huren of zelfs om een boomtocht te maken; of een begeleide natuurwandeling voor groepen. Accommodatie (camping met bungalows en 2 lichte recreatiewoningen toegankelijk voor PBM's en een natuurvakantiedorp met 32 gîtes en een restaurant) en een restaurant ter plaatse.
