De speeltuin, nieuw uitgerust met modernere spelen: schommels, draaimolen, glijbaan en een boog met meerdere spellen, bevindt zich onderaan de tuin van Darralde (genoemd naar de arts voor thermale geneeskunde uit het midden van de 19e eeuw die juffrouw Eugenie de Montijo, de toekomstige keizerin, zo goed behandelde dat zij hem haar hele leven dankbaar was, vandaar dat de tuin in Engelse stijl op haar verzoek naar haar "redder" werd genoemd).
