Geboren uit het verlangen een benedictijns leven te leiden in de voetsporen van Dom Gérard, stichter van Sainte-Madeleine du Barroux, bestaat de gemeenschap uit bijna dertig nonnen die de regel van Sint Benedictus volgen in een leven van gebed en werk, teruggetrokken van de wereld.
