Dit staatsbos - beheerd door het Office National des Forêts - beslaat meer dan 1.000 hectare en omvat zowel talrijke soorten loofbomen (eik, beuk, es) als naaldbomen (zwarte en grove den, spar, enz.).
En het is ook een oase van rust voor wandelaars, want het wordt doorkruist door vele gemarkeerde paden, waar u de beroemde Cuif-eik tegenkomt die onder Lodewijk XIV werd geplant..
