Met het label "Musée de France" nodigt het MAHB u uit om een reis te maken door de geschiedenis van de Europese kunst met 600 kunstwerken (Caillebotte, Van Dongen, Boudin, enz.), 800 archeologische en etnografische voorwerpen, 800 porseleinen voorwerpen uit Bayeux en 100 stukken kant. U ontdekt de hele geschiedenis van Normandië, van de prehistorie tot nu.
De collecties zijn ondergebracht in het voormalige bisschoppelijk paleis van Bayeux, dat beschermd is als historisch monument.
