Théophraste Renaudot, arts, filantroop en journalist uit de 17e eeuw, ontvangt u in zijn huismuseum, waar zijn leven en werk worden gepresenteerd. U ontdekt een reconstructie van een drukkerij met talrijke persen, de bibliotheek en haar Gazetten van 1631 tot 1915, de kruidenierswinkel en de medische praktijken van die tijd, de salon die de opmerkelijke persoonlijkheden van Loudun, met name Urbain Grandier, samenbrengt, de tentoonstellingszaal en een presentatie van de Renaudot-prijzen.
